Zona started in Eugene Oregon in the early 70's. We have moved a few times, with stores for a while in Bend Or., Tucson AZ. and Seattle WA. In 1995 Zona came back to Eugene and in 2006 we opened a beautiful little store in downtown Bend just up the street from the original location, where Zona got her start in 1975. Let us know if you remember The Clothing Gallery in downtown Bend from 1975 to 1985, we would love to hear from our old friends! In those days we worked mostly with pre-shrunk rayon crepe fabrics and prints, and today we are still using those types of fabrics, in addition to lots of Tencel for the everyday clothing that you reach for in your closet. We also buy a wide variety of manufacturers’ remnants of unique fabrics to get a diverse selection of pretty blouses, skirts and jackets. We over dye some fabrics, others we just pre-shrink because they are a beautiful print or solid weave. These fabrics aren’t always on the website, because they are in limited quantity, so you will have to visit us at the shop to see what is new. You can also request fabric swatches of current fabrics. Over the years we have developed a line of women's clothing that is casually stylish, flattering, easy to pack and is machine wash and dryable. We design, sew and garment dye our clothes using the best fabrics we can find.
